pvbody.com review and 20% percent off!!

I found this company PvBody.com through an ad on Facebook. Let me first tell you that I never click on links to anything because I am so skeptical. Somehow this little banner off to the side got my attention and I hesitantly clicked. I was immediately happy. The ad said lulu lemon, Nike, Hard Tail, and more at a discount, so I was even more happy.  If you know me, I LIVE in workout clothes. They are the most comfortable when they fit your body, so I am always looking for more...and cheap!

The first thing the website asks is that you take their style quiz.  I took the quiz which asked about my workout preferences, size, color palette preferences, if I like patterns, waist style (high, neutral, low), pant style (crop, long, shorts), and top style (tank, cami, short sleeve, long sleeve). I came out as Epic Athlete. I decided to take a chance and subscribe. It is a monthly subscription which you can pause or cancel with no obligations. So I click subscribe. It was $49.95 a month for about $100-$150 worth of name brand clothes.

About 2 weeks later a cute metallic pink envelope showed up at my doorstep. I was so excited, I couldn't wait to rip it open! Inside were 3 individually wrapped pieces of clothing. One was my FREE tank just for sharing on facebook. The other two were my stylist picks. I received a black racerback tank top with built in bra by NUX and a pair of American Apparel blue leggings. I have never heard of NUX and I have never tried on American Apparel.  They are THE MOST comfortable clothes ever!! And they fit amazingly! I also received a turquoise blue tank top that say "Be Epic" from Pvbody just for sharing my quiz on facebook.

This small company has boomed overnight because of people like me who are looking for a great deal on name brand workout clothes. They even had to move to a bigger warehouse within the last month because of the demand!

When I signed up, the only incentive was the free tank but they made me an ambassador (YAY!!)which means I can provide you with a link to receive 20% off your monthly subscription making it only $39.95 a month for a package of clothing worth $100-$150!!

Sign up through this link to receive the 20% off (you won't be sorry)

I'm looking forward to many more pink metallic envelopes each month! Enjoy ladies :)

I think I can, I think I can

I must be crazy! Not only is that a statement, its an affirmation.  I have done nothing but think about running...but I haven't actually been on a run in 6 days. I actually did go on that run last Wednesday night. It was a treadmill run, at the gym with all 3 kids in the gym daycare, but I did it.  3 miles in 30 minutes...not the greatest but I'll take it. Treadmill running is the pits but I felt awesome! I was so proud of myself.  I actually followed through with what I set out to do that morning. If I don't complete my daily tasks by 1:30 in the afternoon, it will never be done for that day. So a little pat on my own back that time. But it was all down hill from there.
Thursday passed and nothing. I thought about a run (that counts, right?).  But it didn't happen. Then Friday comes along. Now THIS day had promise. I could get the kids to school, go to the gym, go help out at the kids school, take the kids for check-ups and have a total "I rocked this mom thing" kind of day. I dropped of the kids-check, got to the gym-check...bootcamp! I was 10 minutes late to the class but I jumped right in. And then it happened. I stepped off of the stepper, turned to go to my next station, and fell to the floor. Really?!?! What just happened?? As I turned to walk away, my ankle rolled right under and my entire body fell to the ground. OUCH! I immediately got ice on it and sat down. I was so mad at myself. Who tries to do a bootcamp class when you are supposed to be training for a big run?! I have a huge goal ahead of me and I am going to ruin it by injuring my ankle on a stepper?? No way, not this girl! I stretched it and iced it for 2 days. But I also took pity on myself and ate my face off! Ice cream, pizza, candy, cheese. You name it, I ate it. Luckily, writing this blog (and my husband) knock some sense into me. Once I started to think about what I wanted to write about, my entire mood changed. Once the words were on this screen, I realized that I need to just do it. As for my husband, he told me to suck it up. My ankle is fine and I need to just run. So tomorrow morning is it. I set me alarm clock for 5:30 am. I laid my running clothes out, and I am going to just run.
I mentally beat myself up for the past 6 days and nothing has come of it. As of this moment, I vow not to be a headcase and to just go with the daily flow. Whether it is a day I get to run and make great healthy choices or a day I have no time to run and eat in the car, I will let it go. Tomorrow is another day. I will get to run and train for the Princess Half Marathon, and it will be great!
To all of those who are losing hope and beating themselves up (like me), having bad days is OK. The good ones will eventually out weigh the bad ones. We are all allowed to have bad days, as long as we know we can turn things around and make them great days.

Suck it up so you don't have to suck it in later ;)

Here goes nothin!

So, here I am, my first blog post. I decided to write this blog to keep tract of my trials and tribulations of my run training experience. I have decided to run the Disney Princess Half Marathon...again!
Let me start at the beginning. My name is Alison.  I am a wife of 6 years to my amazing husband Mike, a mom of three beautiful and life fulfilling children (Ethan-5, Amanda-3, and Matthew 5 months) and a self proclaimed runner.  I dabble in yoga, spinning, and weight lifting as well.  I have a wonderful life and wouldn't change a thing. But I seem to set these goals for myself and go through a roller coaster wrapped in a tornado to get to the end.
In 2010 I ran the Princess half with my sister and we had a blast. Fast forward 2 years and I add another little bundle of joy to the family (Matthew) and immediately decide that I NEED to run the Princess again (keep in mind that Matthew was born in June and the race is in February). So I start right back to exercising in August, waiting the six weeks the doctor recommended. After many sleepless night nursing Matthew and fighting monsters under beds and trying to exercise regularly, I fell off the deep end. It took me about 1 month reset, I tried again. I was doing really well. Running every other day, whether it was on the treadmill or outside, I got it done. Never less than 2 miles. I felt good. Then another deep end. Another month reset. Now I am on the upswing again. I have gotten myself through 2 weeks of running 2-3 times a week for 3 miles at a time.
Today though, is not a good day. I woke up and put on my running clothes but have yet to run. I am hoping for an evening run...wish me luck. Until then keep positive, stay motivated, and get some sleep...it seems to work for me. XO

ps-leave comments good or bad...I'm new at this :)
